On Friday, July 12, 2019, the Pensacola chapter of The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) honored attorney Aaron Watson during their annual Freedom Fund Banquet and Centennial awards.
The event was held at The Sanders Beach Corinne Jones Resource Center in Pensacola, Florida. Attorney Aaron Watson, and his law firm, the Watson Firm PLLC, were awarded the Business and Industry Award for achievement and leadership in the field of business.
The Freedom Fund Banquet was attended by hundreds of local leaders and guests, including the mayor of Pensacola. Guests were treated to great food, guest speakers, and live entertainment.
The NAACP is the nation’s foremost, largest, and most widely recognized civil rights organization. It boasts more than half-million members and supporters throughout the United States and the world. Founded in 1909, the NAACP leads grassroots campaigns for equal opportunity and conducting voter mobilization.
