Personal Injury Case Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not exhaustive)
- Collaborate and lead clients on the status of their case and set appropriate
client expectations
- Participate in the investigation of facts and circumstances surrounding
each case Hire investigators and experts as necessary
- Proactively move clients through their medical treatment and demand as
the case requires.
- Escalate issues to the attorneys as necessary
- Monitor negotiations and offers
- Communicating and corresponding with clients, lien holders, providers and
others in the legal community
- Maintaining client communication on a regular basis and ensure their files
remain up to date.
- Review, analyze and summarize case files and medical records
- Be ready to go 'all hands on deck' when the firm is in need.
- Draft legal documents for attorney review.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (at minimum)
- Associate Degree, preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of pre-suit Personal Injury (Plaintiff) experience, preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Adobe DC
Proficiency with computers, telephones, office equipment, cloud and internet-based
software, Filevine software a plus
- Have the ability to juggle many tasks and clients, have strong organizational
skills; be able to follow instructions, switch tasks quickly and meet
deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.

Associate Attorney, Personal Injury
We're seeking a talented attorney to join our team at our office located
in downtown Pensacola! Pensacola has been named as a top 100 city in a
list of "America's Best Cities." The National Association of
Realtors has named Pensacola one of the "hidden gem." The westernmost
city in the Florida Panhandle, Pensacola is surrounded by over 50 miles
of glittering coastline that includes the idyllic Gulf of Mexico and crystal
clear bay areas.
If selected for this position, you will assist our legal pre-litigation
team in negotiating settlements, and preparing correspondence to resolve
civil disputes. Additionally, you will work with our litigation team to
prepare cases for trial. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one
to three years of legal experience, and desire to learn personal injury
law. Prior personal injury experience is preferred, but not required.
Salary is commensurate with legal experience. Prior personal injury experience
is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Manage, supervise and negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers,
as well as resolve outstanding medical balances with providers
- Request and obtain medical records from providers and communicate with
clients and providers during the course of treatment
- Secure other documents necessary to support injury and/or liability positions
- Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure updated
records and account balances
- Communicate with existing and potential clients, via telephone and in person
- Effectively manage and maintain a high volume of cases
- Partner with coworkers involved in the management and support of injury files
- File lawsuits and prosecute injury cases to resolution.
- Participate in firm community service initiatives and marketing initiatives
- Perform legal research and draft legal memorandum and briefs
Qualifications
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school
- An active member in good standing with the Florida Bar Association
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Self-starter is driven by long-term career goals
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
- Must be a people person
- Prior management experience is a plus as teamwork is highly valued within
our company.
